I love misskey and it is almost the perfect Fediverse software, but one big problem for me is the lack of moderation features when it comes to federation and lack of some security features.
In terms of security, I don't like that you can register without attaching an email. It would help against spam or bots to add the option to verify an account with email before signing up. Also when a user forgets a password they can click "Forget password?" and get sent an email to create a new one instead of emailing admin.
For federation, it would be nice if we as users can block instances instead of relying on our instance to block a server. Mastodon and Pleroma already have this.
Pleroma utilizes MRF policies to specifically moderate instances and users. Such as blocking an instance from global timeline, Force marking a user's post as NSFW, and rejecting posts from other instances that contain a specified word and more. If possible, I would love for misskey to have the same options.
Also can we add the ability to mute a thread? Sometimes a conversation still goes on after I am done, and I'd like to be able to stop getting notifications when I get tagged in the conversation.
But outside of this misskey is pretty much perfect.
